Influenza Information
Dear All Saints Family,
All Saints is aware of Swine Influenza A (H1N1) flu. We have a “short list” of things to do. It is not at all comprehensive.
Precautions that are being implemented at All Saints
1. Our focus at the center is to have excellent hygiene – Everyone will continue to practice good hand washing techniques. Everyone will sing “happy birthday” two times as they wash their hands.
2. We will be encouraging everyone to cover their mouth when coughing and sneezing.
3. Each classroom and adult daycare surfaces and doorknobs will be given special attention.
4. We are asking parents to wash their child’s napping blankets more frequently than once a week.
5. The center will be doing extra sanitizing of the children and adult area. We will also have the janitorial staff completing sanitizing of common areas during the evening.
“When you should keep your child or your adult loved ones at home”
If your child or loved one has any of these typical flu symptoms – coughing/sneezing, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue (sometimes diarrhea or vomiting). If your child or any of your loved ones display any of these symptoms please keep them at home and call your doctor.
If All Saints has a suspected case of H1N1 (Swine Influenza) these are the procedures we will follow:
1. Notify health department of ill individual or child and follow their guidelines.
2. We will close the school only if necessary.
3. We will utilize the CDC website, the school district guidelines, as well as other sources to evaluate this situation.
We are being prepared and not panicking if you need additional information please call me at 737-7800.
Marian Wilcher,
Executive Director
